REBECCA MARKHAM-JONES
Since 2014 I have helped more than a 100 students of all abilities realise their potential in Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation at GCSE and A-Level. I am a qualified and practising teacher and Head of Classics at a leading independent school with a degree and PGCE in Classics from Cambridge University. TUTORING
Learning with a friend or in a group can be a more sociable way to further your knowledge. Online sessions make it easier to co-ordinate busy schedules taking away the added hassle of travelling to a lesson or ferrying children back and forth. The capabilities of meeting platforms such as Zoom also enable breakout sessions where you can work together independently from the teacher and call for assistance when you need it. INDIVIDUAL TUTORING
One to one tuition can really benefit certain students. The pace and the content can be tailored specifically to their needs. I pride myself on getting to know individuals' quirks- the words that elude them and facts they mix up. This means we can truly target areas for improvement. I recommend two shorter online sessions per week of 30 minutes each to build recall and maximise student concentration and productivity.
